Salina, Kansas is in the heart of the state and has a rich history, vibrant arts scene, and multiple attractions that draw visitors from all over the region. One of these attractions is the Smoky Hill Museum, which displays the history of the region. The museum houses an extensive collection of artifacts and exhibits that chronicle the history of Salina and surrounding areas, including Native American culture, the pioneer days, and the development of the region’s agriculture. Another popular attraction is the Rolling Hills Zoo, which is a 64-acre zoo that features over one hundred species from around the world. The zoo is home to several exotic animals, including lions, bears, tigers, a variety of birds, reptiles, and amphibians. Salina is also home to several parks such as the Indian Rock Park, which is a 30-acre park that features hiking trails, picnic areas, and playgrounds. The city’s prime location makes it a regional hub for retail trade, medical services, entertainment, and manufacturing facilities, such as Tony’s Pizza and Kubota. Salina is also home to Salina Regional Airport which makes travel, shipping, and delivery much easier. Its diverse economy and strong work ethic allow Salina to continuously rank among Kansas’ best in such areas such as cost of living, regional trade, career opportunities, and personal income.

Salina offers a vast number of recreational amenities, which include golf courses, trails, parks, and river activities.  The performing arts center, community theater, zoo, and entertaining festivals are just some of the fun activities there are in Salina. Salina offers a great balance of a city lifestyle with a small-town feel.
