Brian Wilborn Joins Bank of the Plains

Bank of the Plains is proud to announce the addition of Brian Wilborn to expand the executive financial team. Brian Wilborn recently joined Bank of the Plains as EVP, Chief Financial Officer, and will be located at the Great Bend branch. Brian is a driven, successful, financial professional with thirty-two years of banking expertise in financial operations, team leadership, process and data efficiency, and community service.

Brian is a 2024 graduate of Executive Development Institute (EDI) at the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. His educational background includes graduating from the Kansas Agriculture and Rural Leadership (KARL) Program, Graduate School of Banking at The University of Wisconsin and Fort Hays as a “Tiger” with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Brian has been active in numerous community activities and served on a variety of boards. Brian most recently serving as a board member of Eagle Mutual Insurance of Ellinwood, Central Kansas Economic Development, Inc., and a member of Great Bend Noon Lions Club. Prior he has served as a board member of Clara Barton Foundation and a board member of Barton County Health Department, among many others.

With the expansion of the executive financial team, Senior Vice-President, Shawnna Jewett, will take the strategic leadership position of Chief Accounting Officer. This new role will allow the bank to expand product development and payment systems, furthering our mission of Making our Customers’ Success Simple.
